In 1992 Ronnie and Jean Gilbert transferred their already successful veterinary surgery from the town centre to Greta Bank Farm. They brought up their family onsite in the farm house and converted the farm buildings into the Kennels and Cattery. This ran alongside their busy Vet practice until their retirement in 2011. Now the Kennels and Cattery remain open under Eleanor and Phil Mason who welcome regulars and new visitors alike. Ronnie and Jean still live onsite supporting Keswick Kennels and Cattery, and their dedicated staff, with expert veterinary advice and care.

* PLEASE NOTE: Ronnie and Jean will assess any issues which arise while your animal is boarded with us and is in our care. They will also examine animals which arrive at the kennels with a pre-existing medical condition should they feel, on being alerted by kennel staff, that treatment to ease any distress or discomfort is needed.

Flexible Boarding Option.

Flexible boarding is useful for holiday makers. We provide your pet with accommodation/care/feeds and excercise as per your instructions, for the duration of your stay in the Lake District.

You then decide on a daily basis whether/ when you would like to collect your pet. This option is  ideal if you feel your dog may not manage/enjoy long walks  or  you  are visiting places  that aren't suitable for your dogs.

Once you are booked in with us, just let the staff know your daily requirements. You will have access to your pet from  9:30am until 6.00pm each day.
